Country Head – IT Distribution Business (Uganda)

About the role

The Country Head will lead and grow the IT distribution business in Uganda. Reporting to regional leadership, the role is responsible for sales, channel development, operations, profitability and market expansion across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a country business strategy to meet revenue, market share and profit targets.
• Identify new market segments, growth channels and expand the distribution footprint.
• Lead sales operations, set and achieve annual and quarterly targets.
• Build and manage relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, key accounts, government entities and industry partners.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing and terms to maximise profitability.
• Own the country P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue, margins, costs and working capital.
• Oversee distribution logistics, warehousing, inventory and product availability in collaboration with supply‑chain teams.
• Drive operational efficiencies and best practices to improve service levels and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to inform business decisions.
• Recruit, lead and develop a high‑performing sales and operations team.
• Act as the primary company representative in Uganda, managing key relationships and escalations.

Required profile

• Strong experience in IT Distribution, ICT, technology, networking or enterprise solutions.
• Proven track record of country‑level sales leadership, channel development and P&L management.
• Deep understanding of the Uganda/GCC/Africa IT distribution ecosystem with established relationships with channel partners and key accounts.
