Driver - MOFA Japan Project

About the role

The driver will support the MOFA Japan Project by transporting authorized passengers, goods, and information safely across designated locations. The role ensures vehicle readiness and compliance with World Vision policies while providing reliable logistical support.

Key responsibilities

• Drive World Vision vehicles and authorized passengers to approved destinations.
• Complete vehicle log‑books accurately for each journey.
• Deliver packages, mail, and other items in line with organisational policies.
• Inspect vehicle condition before trips (oil, water, battery, brakes, tyre pressure, insurance, etc.) and perform minor repairs.
• Monitor security of the vehicle, passengers, and luggage.
• Obtain signed waiver forms from non‑World Vision staff before boarding.
• Report all damages or accidents to the supervisor promptly.
• Coordinate with the logistics officer for timely vehicle servicing.
• Prepare and submit monthly vehicle reports.

Required profile

• Minimum O‑Level Certificate.
• At least five years of driving experience in a similar context (preferred).
• Valid driving licence (Classes B, D1, C; Class A1 advantageous).
• Defensive driving certificate from a recognised school.
• Computer literacy.
• Practising Christian and active church member.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; knowledge of a local language is a plus.
• Familiarity with national road‑safety rules.
