Financial Inclusion Officer – Iganga

About the role

FINCA Uganda is seeking a motivated Financial Inclusion Officer to drive sales, marketing and financial literacy initiatives in the Iganga region. Working closely with the Branch Manager, you will help expand access to micro‑finance services for underserved communities.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create monthly sales and marketing plans for targeted catchment areas, including community drives, focus groups and door‑to‑door activities.
• Design and deliver three‑day training sessions for potential group‑lending customers, aiming to meet monthly targets.
• Conduct financial literacy workshops, introduce the Self‑Managed Group product, and guide groups in leader selection and governance.
• Monitor group formation, cohesion, record‑keeping and readiness for FINCA financial services.
• Implement action work plans, provide weekly progress updates to the Branch Manager and coordinate with the Product Associate.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Fluency in English and the local language spoken in the area of operation.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle for field visits.
