Financial Inclusion Officer – Jinja

About the role

FINCA Uganda is seeking a motivated Financial Inclusion Officer to drive sales, marketing and financial literacy activities in the Jinja area. The role involves working closely with the Branch Manager to meet monthly targets for group lending products and to support community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create monthly sales and marketing plans for identified catchment locations, including community drives and door‑to‑door activities.
• Design and deliver three‑pack training sessions for potential group‑lending customers.
• Conduct financial literacy training, explain FINCA’s self‑managed group product methodology, and guide groups on leadership selection and governance.
• Monitor group formation, cohesion, record‑keeping and assess readiness for FINCA services.
• Implement monthly action work plans and provide weekly feedback to the Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Fluency in English and the local language of the operating area.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle.
• Excellent sales, marketing and customer‑service skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, accuracy, time‑management and communication abilities.
