Financial Inclusion Officer – Kabale

About the role

The Financial Inclusion Officer will support FINCA Uganda’s mission to expand access to financial services in Kabale. Working closely with the Branch Manager, you will lead community‑based sales and training initiatives to promote group lending products and financial literacy.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create monthly sales and marketing plans with the Branch Manager, targeting community sales drives, focus groups, and door‑to‑door outreach.
• Design and deliver monthly training sessions for potential group‑lending customers, ensuring targets are met.
• Provide financial literacy training and educate clients on FINCA’s Self‑Managed Group product methodology.
• Guide groups in selecting leaders, establishing governance principles, and maintaining records.
• Assess group readiness for FINCA financial services and monitor progress.
• Implement agreed‑upon action plans, reporting weekly feedback to the Branch Manager and Product Associate.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Fluency in English and the local language of the operating area.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle.
• Excellent sales, marketing, and customer‑service skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, time‑management, and communication abilities.
