About the role
The International Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will lead the standardisation and continuous improvement of Samaritan's Purse MEAL curriculum. This role supports field and headquarters teams by delivering training, technical guidance, and data‑driven insights to enhance program impact.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development, update and delivery of MEAL curriculum through webinars, remote instruction and in‑person sessions.
- Build capacity of field and IHQ staff by designing practical training on qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, data quality, validation and best practices; mentor and onboard M&E staff.
- Provide technical MEAL guidance to international country offices and projects, advising on data collection methodologies, proposal and report strategies, assessment tools, surveys and statistical analysis.
- Strengthen data integrity and program accountability by creating and updating data collection templates, cleaning and validating data, reviewing assessments, conducting IHQ MEAL reviews and synthesising lessons learned.
- Support disaster response and operational excellence through technical assistance to IDRU and DART, development of sector‑specific paper and mobile data collection tools, DART MEAL SOPs and in‑country training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Four‑year college or university degree with three or more years of experience in monitoring and evaluation methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience applying grant monitoring and evaluation principles.
- Completion of 12 credit hours of college‑level Biblical Studies.
- Personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and a consistent witness for the faith.
