About the role
Makerere University is seeking a dedicated Lecturer for its Department of Environmental Management. The role involves teaching, supervising research, and contributing to community outreach while supporting the department’s academic and research objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Teach, examine and grade undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects and theses.
- Mentor junior academic staff.
- Conduct research and engage in community outreach activities.
- Write proposals to attract funding for departmental initiatives.
- Perform any other official duties assigned by the Head of Department.
Required profile
- PhD in Water Management or Wetlands.
- MSc in Wetlands Management, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering or Environmental and Natural Resources Management.
- Honours BSc in Environmental Sciences or Forestry.
