Preschool Teacher Assistant

About the role

Cadence Education is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to join a vibrant early‑learning classroom. Working under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher, you will help create a safe, nurturing environment where young children can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Support a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere and treat each child with dignity.
• Greet children and families daily, building welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavior plans.
• Help plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence‑approved tools.
• Follow safety and supervision policies, documenting and reporting accidents and incidents.
• Manage, document, and report escalated child behaviors according to Cadence procedures.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development.

Required profile

• Experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education.
• Ability to support children with diverse needs, including those with IEPs.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with families and staff.
