Sales and Marketing Representative

About the role

The Sales and Marketing Representative will work full‑time on‑site in Kampala for an insurance agency. You will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing client relationships and promoting the agency’s services to prospective customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Conduct sales pitches, follow up leads and prepare proposals.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met.
• Support marketing campaigns and gather market insights.
• Participate in training and promotional events to boost market presence.
• Meet sales targets and maintain accurate activity records.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Solid sales and marketing knowledge.
• Experience delivering product and service information.
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing principles.
• Interest in the insurance agency environment.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
• Prior experience in sales or client‑facing roles.
