About the role
The Senior Associate will join CHAI’s program focused on reducing maternal and newborn mortality in Uganda. This position supports the design and implementation of emergency referral systems and works closely with government and private‑sector partners to improve health outcomes for women and infants.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in strengthening emergency referral systems, including communication and transport linkages.
- Support the development and rollout of triage and referral protocols.
- Collaborate with local health facilities to ensure timely and safe transfer of patients.
- Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting on maternal and neonatal health indicators.
- Engage with government ministries and partners to align program activities with national health strategies.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in sexual, reproductive, maternal and newborn health.
- Demonstrated ability to work in low‑ and middle‑income country settings.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Commitment to CHAI’s mission of improving health systems.
