Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Uganda is seeking a proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure the efficient delivery of humanitarian programmes across the country. This role is central to planning, procuring, managing inventory, and overseeing construction, property, and fleet assets, supporting the organization’s mission to restore safety and dignity for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Programme and Finance teams to integrate and harmonise operational systems.
• Work with the Deputy Director Finance to maintain internal controls with minimal bureaucracy.
• Coordinate with Field Office Supply Chain staff and senior field managers to ensure uniform implementation of IRC standard operating procedures.
• Design, plan, execute, and monitor supply‑chain activities at the country level, including procurement, inventory, and construction management.
• Develop and deliver job‑specific trainings to build capacity among Supply Chain personnel.
• Prepare supply‑chain plans in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Solutions‑driven professional with a passion for humanitarian impact.
• Experience in supply‑chain management within an NGO or similar environment.
• Strong ability to coordinate across multiple departments and field locations.
• Knowledge of donor regulations and IRC policies.
