Accounts Relationship Officer – Lira

About the role

The Accounts Relationship Officer will promote FINCA’s range of financial products and services to individuals and businesses in the Lira area. You will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships while travelling extensively across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Market all FINCA products and services to potential clients.
• Identify and acquire new customers, develop strategies for retention and growth.
• Grow deposits and loan portfolio in line with branch targets.
• Appraise loan applications, prepare detailed proposals and assess creditworthiness.
• Monitor loan performance, follow up on repayments and support recovery efforts.
• Organise client sensitisation seminars and information sessions.
• Plan, review and adjust strategies to improve loan quality and meet FINCA Uganda lending policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a business‑related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time and ability to ride a motorcycle.
• Hands‑on experience in sales and community mobilisation.
• Excellent communication skills; fluency in English and at least one local language.
• Professional appearance and strong problem‑solving, multitasking and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
