Financial Inclusion Officer – Busia

About the role

FINCA Uganda is seeking a motivated Financial Inclusion Officer to drive community‑based sales and financial literacy initiatives in Busia. The role involves collaborating with the Branch Manager to plan and execute outreach activities that expand access to micro‑finance products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop monthly sales and marketing plans for targeted catchment areas, including community drives, focus groups, and door‑to‑door outreach.
• Design and deliver three‑session training packages for potential group‑lending customers.
• Conduct financial literacy workshops, explain FINCA’s self‑managed group product methodology, and guide groups in leader selection and governance.
• Assess group readiness for FINCA financial services and ensure proper record‑keeping.
• Implement action work plans, provide weekly progress feedback to the Branch Manager, and coordinate with the Product Associate.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Fluency in English and the local language of the operating area.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle for field visits.
