Financial Inclusion Officer – Lira

About the role

The Financial Inclusion Officer will support FINCA Uganda’s mission to expand access to financial services in the Lira catchment area. Working closely with the Branch Manager, you will lead community‑based sales, marketing and training initiatives to reach underserved groups.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create monthly sales and marketing plans with the Branch Manager, including community drives, focus groups and door‑to‑door activities.
• Design and deliver three‑session training packs for potential group‑lending customers each month.
• Provide financial‑literacy training, explain the Self‑Managed Group product methodology and guide groups in leader selection and governance.
• Assess group readiness for FINCA financial services and ensure proper record‑keeping.
• Execute agreed work‑plan actions, report weekly progress to the Branch Manager and coordinate with the Product Associate.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Fluency in English and the local language of the operating area.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle.
• Excellent sales, marketing and customer‑service skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, time‑management and communication abilities.
