FP&A Business Partner

About the role

SMARTEC ELECTRONICS LTD is seeking an experienced FP&A Business Partner to lead financial planning, analysis and performance management across its retail, fashion and FMCG operations in Kampala.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting and performance review.
• Act as a finance business partner to support commercial, operational and strategic decisions.
• Drive FP&A and operations finance across end‑to‑end value streams, linking strategy with frontline execution.
• Design KPI‑based performance management dashboards and reporting tools to improve business visibility.
• Provide actionable insights for management, identifying risks, opportunities, cost‑saving and improvement actions.
• Support finance process standardisation, internal controls and digital transformation projects, including Power BI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5–7 years of experience in FP&A and business partnering.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and performance improvement.
• Proven ability to translate financial and operational data into business insights.
• Experience working with commercial, operational and management teams in a diverse, cross‑cultural environment.

Required skills

• ERP experience (Tally is a plus).
• Power BI.
