HR Business Partner – Security Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to lead people initiatives for our security operations and office functions in Kampala. You will work closely with senior leaders to translate business objectives into effective HR strategies and ensure a compliant, engaged workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior management to develop HR plans aligned with business goals, using workforce analytics for organizational design and change management.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, background checks and onboarding for security personnel and office staff.
• Provide guidance on disciplinary cases, grievances, investigations and represent the company in labour disputes.
• Oversee the performance review cycle, identify high‑potential talent and support development plans.
• Design and deliver employee engagement programmes, monitor satisfaction surveys and champion DEI initiatives.
• Prepare and verify monthly payroll, maintain confidential employee records and ensure data‑protection compliance.
• Monitor adherence to the Uganda Employment Act and audit HR policies for legal effectiveness.
• Produce monthly HR dashboards and provide data‑driven insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in security or similar high‑risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan labour law and HR best practices.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., IHRS, CIPD, SHRM) is an advantage.
