Human Resource Officer

About the role

The Human Resource Officer will support the effective management of HR functions for a growing ISP in Kampala. You will help attract, develop, engage and retain talent while ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and selection processes, post job ads, screen applications, schedule interviews and support onboarding of new hires.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries, assist in resolving concerns, promote positive relations and support staff welfare initiatives.
• Implement performance management processes, help set objectives, follow up on reviews and support managers in addressing performance gaps.
• Organise staff induction, identify training needs, coordinate internal and external training programmes and maintain training records.
• Maintain confidential personnel records, prepare HR documentation and ensure compliance with Ugandan labour legislation and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in HR or related functions.
• Mid‑level professional with proven ability to handle recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
