NGIS Building Manager – Navy Lodging Operations

About the role

Amentum is seeking an NGIS Building Manager to oversee daily operations of the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) on Diego Garcia. The role ensures the facility meets Navy lodging standards while delivering a safe, clean, and high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage building maintenance, housekeeping, front‑desk, and guest‑service functions.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and quality‑of‑life improvements.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance with engineering, contracted service teams, and internal staff.
• Maintain accurate logs, work orders, occupancy records, and supply inventories.
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff performing housekeeping, customer service, and facility support.
• Address guest concerns, resolve issues, and ensure a professional lodging experience.
• Implement and enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards across all NGIS operations.
• Communicate operational updates and facility conditions to supervisors and Navy leadership.
• Perform additional duties consistent with the position as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in lodging management, hotel operations, or facility management.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or facility‑management certifications preferred.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining beyond hire date and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and obtain facility credentials.
• Fluent reading, speaking, and comprehension of English for contract performance and emergency procedures.
