Senior Loans Officer

About the role

The Senior Loans Officer will drive business growth by meeting loan sales targets, maintaining a high‑quality loan portfolio, and ensuring compliance with lending policies. This role focuses on SME secured lending, collections, and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly loan sales targets by identifying and onboarding new SME secured clients.
• Promote SME secured loan products through marketing activations and outreach.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to grow and retain the loan portfolio.
• Monitor repayments, follow up on overdue accounts, and meet collections targets.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements and recommend recovery actions for delinquent clients.
• Conduct regular client visits to assess loan utilization and repayment risk.
• Guide clients through the loan application process and provide product information.
• Assess creditworthiness, collateral, and financial capacity to determine eligibility.
• Prepare credit appraisal reports, repayment schedules, and documentation for the Branch Credit Committee.
• Generate accurate reports on sales, portfolio performance, collections, and recoveries.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in sales, marketing, or a business‑related field from a recognised institution.
• At least two years of relevant work experience in loan sales or collections.
• Strong people skills, integrity, and ability to manage stress.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and compliance with lending regulations.
