Technology Applications Teacher (Grades 7-8) for 2026-27

About the role

The Technology Applications Teacher for grades 7‑8 will design and deliver learning experiences that support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. The role focuses on developing competencies that enable students to succeed in society while integrating technology into instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, accommodating diverse learning styles and Texas Education Agency guidelines.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula and support IEP goals.
• Assess student learning styles and achievement through formal and informal testing, adjusting instruction accordingly.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers, and oversee extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment and manage student behavior in line with the Student Code of Conduct.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements.
• Strong knowledge of the assigned subject, curriculum standards, and instructional strategies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use technology to enhance the teaching and learning process.
