About the role
We are looking for a motivated Accountant to join our finance team in Kamwokya, Kampala. You will be responsible for preparing key financial statements, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting budgeting activities.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare essential financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
- Maintain general ledgers, manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements.
- Compute taxes, file returns and ensure compliance with Ugandan tax laws.
- Assist management in budgeting, financial forecasting and trend analysis.
- Review financial documents, investigate discrepancies and cooperate with internal or external auditors.
- Provide strategic financial advice on cost reduction, risk analysis and business growth.
Required profile
- Entry‑level accountant with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of Ugandan tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
