Assistant Manager – Milk Collection Centres (MCC) Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead and expand our Milk Collection Centres (MCC) network. The role focuses on sourcing high‑quality raw milk directly from farmers, ensuring operational excellence, and driving growth in new procurement areas.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage MCCs while ensuring operational efficiency and statutory compliance.
• Monitor raw milk volumes, pricing, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular field visits to assess MCC performance.
• Lead MCC teams, including Field Coordinators, Field Officers, logistics, and technical staff.
• Ensure timely execution of agreements, contracts, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with farmers, vendors, transporters, labour contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Support implementation of new technologies and operational improvement initiatives.
• Analyze procurement performance, quality trends, and operational costs.
• Maintain accurate operational records and reporting systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Dairy Technology, Food Technology, BVSC or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in milk procurement, dairy operations, or MCC management.
• Strong exposure to dairy procurement networks and farmer engagement.
• Experience in field operations and team management.
• Good understanding of milk quality standards and procurement systems.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Computer proficiency and a valid driving license.
