Bank Teller – Customer Service & Transactions

About the role

The Teller will serve as the front‑line representative of the branch, delivering fast and accurate banking services to customers. You will handle cash, deposits, withdrawals, mobile‑money transfers and foreign‑exchange transactions while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, identify their needs and provide clear information.
• Count cash, verify deposits and withdrawals, and process remittances and mobile‑money transactions.
• Validate customer identity and KYC details for all transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and prepare daily transaction reports.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any discrepancies or potential fraud.
• Assist customers with account services, including forex exchange and remittance services.
• Promote branch products, cross‑sell services and refer customers to appropriate offerings.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth branch operations and participate in training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• No prior experience required; candidates aged 25 years or younger are encouraged.
• Professional appearance, strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with banking software and basic computer applications.
