Communications Associate – Kampala

About the role

The Communications Associate will support the Communications Officer in documenting and amplifying the impact of CorpsAfrica volunteers and community projects in Uganda. This 12‑month fixed‑term position is based in Kampala and focuses on creating high‑quality visual and written content for donors, partners and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and edit videos and photographs that showcase volunteer activities and community impact.
• Assist in writing, editing and formatting volunteer stories, blog posts, newsletters and website content.
• Gather impact quotes, stories and visual assets from field staff and volunteers.
• Support the creation of visual assets for social media, stakeholder communications and events.
• Collaborate with programme, M&E and partnership teams to ensure accurate storytelling.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month relevant experience or recent graduate.
• Strong interest in nonprofit communications and storytelling.
• Ability to work onsite in Kampala for the full 12‑month duration.

Required skills

• Video production and editing.
• Photography.
• Graphic design using tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Audio recording and basic editing.
• Social media content creation.
