E&I Manager – Uganda (Distillery Industry)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Manager to lead our E&I function in Uganda’s distillery and ethanol production facilities. The role will oversee all electrical and instrumentation activities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage the E&I team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Develop and control the E&I budget, ensuring cost‑effective project delivery.
• Plan, execute, and supervise major electrical and instrumentation projects, from design to commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory standards and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and external partners to support plant reliability.
• Implement preventive maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the E&I function within the distillery or related process industry.
• At least 10 years in a managerial role with proven team‑leadership, budgeting, and project delivery experience.
• Track record of leading E&I operations in a multinational or similarly complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and safety compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
