Executive Search Lead - Technology

About the role

Canonical is looking for an Executive Search Lead for its technology business, working from home in the EMEA region. The role develops a search strategy so that headhunted talent moves smoothly through the pipeline, coaches senior leadership teams in attracting top talent, and drives talent analytics and behavioural interviews.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a search strategy and ensure processes let headhunted candidates move smoothly through the pipeline.
• Coach senior leadership teams to become experts at approaching and attracting exceptional talent for management and leadership roles.
• Drive talent analytics to give the business real-time insight, using SQL or Python to spot trends in data.
• Conduct in-depth behavioural talent interviews that reveal motivations and behaviours.
• Build relationships with global stakeholders, monitor hiring activity and keep operational processes consistent.
• Continuously improve hiring processes and outcomes, and embed diversity and inclusion by removing unconscious bias from the process.

Required profile

• Professional headhunting experience from a reputable executive search firm or in-house search function, sourcing senior technology talent.
• Understanding of psychometric assessments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology or another people-based subject, with a good level of maths from high school.
• High level of personal organisation to work remotely, and willingness to travel to company events 2-4 times a year, up to two weeks each.

Required skills

• Analytical problem solving with SQL or Python to find trends in data, and proficiency in LinkedIn Talent Solutions.
• Experience of behavioural, competency-based interviews and training stakeholders on them.
• Nice to have: advanced statistical analysis, Greenhouse ATS, Thomas International, DISC profiling, and knowledge of psychometric validity and reliability metrics.
