Senior HR Generalist - EMEA

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support its EMEA operations. The role is remote within the region and works closely with the EMEA HR Manager and Global Head of HR to deliver high‑impact HR services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver precise, compliant HR operations across talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, onboarding, and culture initiatives.
• Partner with managers on performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, rewards, and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with the HRIS team to refine day‑to‑day HR administration processes.
• Coach people managers on employee‑relations issues across multiple countries and support training and development programs.
• Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and design new policies for global HR projects.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic record and HR experience leading initiatives in a technology business.
• Regional HR experience within EMEA, knowledge of local labour laws and competitive market insights.
• Proven business‑partnering skills with senior stakeholders and ability to work hands‑on in daily HR routines.
• Strong project‑management capabilities, data‑driven decision making, and experience in remote‑first organisations.
• Fluent in business English, self‑motivated, organised, and willing to travel up to four times a year.
