About the role
The Head of Sales & Business Development will lead GardaWorld Uganda’s commercial growth, shaping and executing a sales strategy that drives revenue and expands market presence across the country.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and nurture new and existing commercial relationships to uncover business opportunities.
- Plan and implement revenue‑growth strategies, targeting both existing and untapped markets.
- Provide day‑to‑day management and strategic direction for sales growth and customer relationship management.
- Participate in business planning, budget approval, implementation and cost control to meet organisational goals.
- Coordinate sales, marketing, customer service and operational support to ensure seamless client experiences.
- Lead the business‑development cycle through market research, bid identification and tender management.
- Build and manage a high‑performing business‑development team to sustain market competitiveness.
- Enhance GardaWorld brand awareness through targeted marketing activities.
- Monitor market trends and drive new business initiatives.
- Provide accurate sales‑pipeline data and contract insights for decision‑making.
Required profile
- Proven senior sales leadership experience, preferably in security or related services.
- Self‑motivated, high‑energy professional with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong strategic and operational expertise, capable of managing budgets and driving results.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with clients, government agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to travel within Uganda and work effectively from the Kampala office.
