Insurance Salesperson

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Kampala and focuses on driving new business for an insurance agency. The Salesperson will identify prospects, build client relationships, and promote the agency’s insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify new leads through outreach and research.
• Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and negotiate contract terms.
• Collaborate with advertising and account‑management teams to align client expectations.
• Track sales activities and pipeline in CRM tools.
• Achieve or exceed defined sales targets.
• Report market trends, client feedback, and competitive activity to support service improvement.

Required profile

• Proven ability in sales or business development.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of digital advertising concepts (social media ads, SEM, display campaigns).
• Excellent organization and time‑management, able to handle multiple prospects.
• Comfort working on‑site in Kampala and collaborating with team members.
• Results‑oriented mindset focused on meeting targets.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and standard business software.
