Branch Supervisor - Car Logbook Loans (Mbarara)

About the role

Mogo Uganda is looking for a Branch Supervisor for its car logbook loan business in Mbarara. The role supervises field sales agents and team leads, ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and drives branch performance and portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard new car logbook sales agents daily to meet monthly hiring targets, providing training on policies, products and sales techniques.
• Work with field team leads so agents are well trained and supervised daily, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Monitor loan processing workflows so documentation is accurate and complete, and bridge communication between agents and support teams.
• Follow up on first defaults and arrears to minimise losses and protect portfolio quality, while setting performance targets and running regular reviews.
• Prepare daily, weekly and end-of-month reports on branch metrics, handle customer complaints and escalate complex issues.
• Collaborate with the Car Financing Manager on business plans, keep accurate records of branch documentation and stay informed on market trends and competitors.
• Refresh agent training regularly, foster teamwork and professional development, and be present in the field daily to generate business and supervise agents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Finance or a related field (essential).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales supervisory or team leadership role, preferably in financial services, microfinance or car logbook loan sales.
• Proven track record of recruiting, training and supervising field sales teams.
• Experience in loan processing, credit analysis and portfolio management is highly desirable.
