Mechanical Engineer Expert – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Expert to create high‑quality, single‑choice assessment items for AI training applications. This fully remote contract position focuses on translating advanced mechanical engineering concepts into clear, pedagogically sound content.

Key responsibilities

• Develop single‑choice questions rooted in solid & structural mechanics, dynamics, vibration, control, or thermal‑fluids.
• Convert complex engineering knowledge into accessible assessment material.
• Document rationales and explanations for each answer choice to support AI datasets.
• Collaborate with project coordinators, meet delivery milestones, and use digital tools for record‑keeping.
• Perform quality checks, incorporate feedback, and revise content as needed.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in at least one of the listed domains.
• Demonstrated ability to convey intricate engineering principles in written form.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in educational content creation, assessment design, or technical writing is highly desirable.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• Familiarity with collaborative online platforms or digital workflow tools is a plus.
