Project Finance & Logistics Officer

About the role

The Project Finance & Logistics Officer will support Restless Development Uganda’s youth employment portfolio by managing financial planning, budgeting and logistical operations across multiple districts. This internal recruitment role is based in Kampala and works closely with youth‑led organisations to ensure resources are allocated efficiently and projects are delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project budgets, financial reports and cash‑flow forecasts for youth employment initiatives.
• Coordinate procurement, transport and distribution of goods and services required for project implementation.
• Ensure compliance with organisational safeguarding policies and financial regulations.
• Collaborate with the Uganda Youth Collective and partner organisations to align financial and logistical processes with programme objectives.
• Provide regular financial updates to senior management and support decision‑making with data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, business administration or a related field.
• Experience working in project finance, budgeting or logistics, preferably in the development sector.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Commitment to youth empowerment, gender equality and inclusive development.

Required skills

• Financial reporting and budgeting.

• Knowledge of donor compliance and safeguarding standards.
