Relationship Manager – Flexipay

About the role
The role focuses on growing and retaining client relationships within the Flexipay portfolio across sectors such as agribusiness, public sector and consumer. You will drive revenue, profitability and customer experience for the bank by managing the end‑to‑end sales cycle.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and retain relationships for the allocated Flexipay segment/sector portfolio.
- Deliver revenue and portfolio growth targets by converting leads from Business, Personal, Corporate and Investment Banking.
- Identify new business opportunities through direct engagement, joint sales calls and field visits.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline in collaboration with Relationship Managers, Business Bankers and Digital Banking teams.
- Manage the full sales cycle – prospecting, acquisition, onboarding, activation and retention of non‑SBU merchants.
- Monitor platform performance, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve adoption.
- Work closely with Merchant Solutions Service Consultants, Product, Operations, IT and Marketing teams to drive acquisition and retention.
Required profile
- First degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- 5‑7 years of relationship management experience as a Business Banker or Relationship Manager.
- Strong product knowledge of specialised financial products and structures.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control and client financial analysis.
- Proven ability to prepare and motivate credit applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage customers at all levels.
