Church Partnership Liaison

About the role

World Vision Uganda is looking for a Church Partnership Liaison based in Kampala, reporting to the Faith and Development Manager. This is a fixed-term, local position that acts as the main point of contact for SO Church Teams and the Global Centre, managing relationships, supporting new innovations, collaborating on content and strengthening activities with church partners. It is intended to nurture church-community collaboration and improve the Chosen child sponsorship experience.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for SO church teams on Chosen partnerships in Uganda and with the Global Centre's Church Engagement team
• Prepare Chosen trip briefs, profiles, itineraries and status reports, organize preparatory meetings and debriefs, and handle logistics and accommodation while applying security and safeguarding protocols
• Gather content, create monthly updates and thank-you videos for churches, and represent World Vision at SO conferences and events
• Support 1-2 multi-SO Chosen vision trips in FY24 and help improve the experience
• Support the Spiritual Nurture of Children (SNC) intervention, including training, mentoring facilitators, data collection and sharing impact stories
• Help integrate Faith and Development models into programme frameworks and support monitoring and reporting
• Present the Chosen approach internally and to other National Offices, and share learnings with the Global Centre and SOs
• Collaborate with the East Africa Region to document and scale best practices
