Programme Associate (AAP, Training) - G5

About the role

IOM, a UN-related organization focused on migration, is recruiting a Programme Associate (AAP, Training) in Kampala, Uganda. Reporting to the Head of Movement Operations and directly to the Senior Program Associate, the post covers movement activities, including compliance, project monitoring and evaluation, training, youth services, project reporting and support, and protection. Applications are open to internal and external candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake compliance activities in an assigned area, such as project monitoring and evaluation, training, youth services, project reporting, project support and/or protection.
• Provide administrative assistance in monitoring and evaluation, including helping administer surveys, interviews and focus groups and supporting the logistics of their preparation.
• Assist with the logistics of staff training sessions facilitated by others, such as preparing training materials.

Required profile

• Secondary education with five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with three years of experience.
• Prior experience as a trainer or facilitator, working with youth or on protection-related issues, is a distinct advantage.
• Fluency in one of IOM's official languages (English, French or Spanish); proficiency is assessed during selection.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision, attention to detail and good organization.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and the Internet.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
