Country Head – IT Distribution (Uganda)

About the role

The Country Sales Head will lead and grow the company’s IT distribution business in Uganda. You will be responsible for sales, channel development, operations, profitability, and key customer relationships while aligning with regional objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country business strategy to meet revenue, market share, and profit targets.
• Identify new business opportunities, market segments and expand the distribution footprint across Uganda.
• Lead sales operations, ensuring achievement of annual and quarterly targets.
• Build and manage relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, key accounts, government entities and industry partners.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing and terms to maximise profitability.
• Own the country P&L – budgeting, forecasting, revenue, margins, costs and working capital.
• Oversee distribution operations, logistics, warehousing, inventory and product availability in collaboration with supply‑chain teams.
• Drive operational efficiencies and best practices to improve service levels and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitors and customer requirements to support business decisions.
• Recruit, lead and develop a high‑performing sales and operations team.
• Act as the primary company representative in Uganda, managing key relationships and escalations.

Required profile

• Strong experience in IT distribution, ICT, technology, networking or enterprise solutions.
• Proven track record of country‑level sales leadership, channel development and P&L management.
• Deep understanding of the Uganda (and broader Africa) IT distribution ecosystem with established relationships with channel partners and key accounts.
