Credit Vetting Analyst (Contract)

About the role

MTN Uganda Limited is looking for a Contract Credit Vetting Analyst to assess enterprise customers' credit risk, define exposure limits and support timely, compliant service provisioning. The role ensures revenue protection while enabling smooth onboarding of high‑value clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess creditworthiness of enterprise customer requests.
• Analyse financial documents, payment history and risk indicators against internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct detailed credit evaluations, set and monitor exposure limits, and trigger actions when thresholds are exceeded.
• Approve, decline or escalate applications within defined SLAs.
• Provide pre‑sales credit advisory for large deals and communicate decisions clearly.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support internal/external audits.
• Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to digitisation initiatives such as credit scoring tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in credit risk, provisioning or telecom finance.
• Strong understanding of the enterprise customer lifecycle and revenue assurance.
• Highly developed analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
