Debt Collection Supervisor

About the role

The Debt Collection Supervisor will lead the development and execution of the company's debt recovery strategy in Kampala. This senior position oversees field teams, ensures compliance with policies, and drives performance to meet recovery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a debt collection strategy, setting objectives and recovery standards.
• Oversee all collection activities across the field team, managing debtor portfolios and high‑value accounts.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance, conduct reviews and prepare reports for senior management.
• Train, coach and mentor collections staff, fostering a high‑performance culture and ensuring policy compliance.
• Prepare and present recovery reports, maintain accurate departmental records, and recommend policy improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years progressive experience in debt collections, credit management or financial recovery.
• At least 3 years in a senior supervisory or management role, managing large teams and portfolios.
• Proven ability to develop collection strategies and improve recovery performance.
