Enterprise Account Manager – HPE Sales

About the role

Red Dot Distribution is seeking an Account Manager to expand its HPE enterprise business across a defined territory in East Africa. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will own the full sales cycle – from prospecting to closing – for servers, storage, and networking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of named enterprise accounts, meeting individual revenue and gross profit targets.
• Prospect, qualify, and build a pipeline of opportunities across servers, storage, and networking.
• Develop strong customer relationships and act as the trusted advisor for each account.
• Position HPE compute, storage, and networking solutions alongside competing products to address customer needs.
• Prepare quotations, basic solution proposals, and bills of materials, coordinating with presales/technical teams when deeper design is required.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and account plans, reporting progress to the Business Manager.
• Manage vendor and distributor relationships to secure pricing, deal registration, and support.
• Represent the company at customer meetings, vendor events, and industry forums.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in enterprise IT or B2B technology sales.
• Understanding of enterprise buying cycles and key decision‑makers.
• Hands‑on knowledge of servers and storage solutions.
• Familiarity with networking equipment such as routers and switches.
• Techno‑commercial ability to bridge technical details with commercial proposals.
