Field Coordinator - Climate-Smart Agriculture

About the role

Humi 99 provides climate-smart agricultural solutions for smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Field Coordinator based in the Northern Region of Uganda. The role coordinates field activities such as farmer trainings, demonstrations and community outreach, and reports back to management on progress, challenges and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise farmer trainings, demonstrations and community outreach related to climate-smart agriculture
• Collect and report field data and monitor project progress
• Build and maintain relationships with farmer groups, local leaders and partner organisations
• Support logistical arrangements for field events and ensure compliance with safety and organisational guidelines
• Contribute to continuous improvement of field operations

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant field experience
• Experience leading or training teams and working with farmers
• Fluency in English and Luo
• Good communication, organisational and leadership skills
• Willingness to travel and work in rural areas
