About the role
The Field Recovery Officer will work on the ground to recover overdue payments for Majibu Africa. This role involves direct interaction with clients and debtors, ensuring repayment plans are negotiated and documented in compliance with legal standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in‑person visits to clients or debtors to negotiate repayment plans and collect overdue amounts.
- Monitor accounts for delinquency, update payment records, and generate collection progress reports for management.
- Engage face‑to‑face with debtors to build rapport, resolve issues, and educate them on their financial obligations.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, respecting debtor rights during visits.
- Collect and verify necessary documentation such as payment receipts and personal identification, maintaining detailed records of communications and debt status.
Required profile
- At least 2 years of experience in debt recovery or a related field.
- Mid‑level professional capable of working independently on field assignments.
