Head of Finance and Accounts

About the role

The Head of Finance and Accounts provides strategic leadership for all finance, treasury and accounting functions across the organisation, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting operations, develop financial models, forecasts, cash flow projections and capital allocation frameworks.
• Oversee grants financial management, donor compliance, and support fundraising through budgeting and proposal financials.
• Maintain complete accounting records, prepare financial statements, manage ERP systems and ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP and institutional policies.
• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, statutory filings and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for finance staff, promote ethical financial management and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Active CPA or ACCA membership.
• 8–10 years progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in executive leadership.

Required skills

• Advanced ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Intacct, QuickBooks Enterprise, Tally Prime).
• Proficiency with IFRS and GAAP standards.
• Financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
