Insurance Salesperson – Kampala

About the role

The Insurance Agency is seeking a full‑time Salesperson to work on‑site in Kampala. You will be responsible for generating new business, guiding prospects through the sales process, and closing deals for our insurance services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential clients in the Kampala market.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Make sales calls, schedule and attend client meetings, and prepare proposals and quotations.
• Follow up on leads to maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships.
• Track performance against sales targets and report results.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and stay informed about market trends.

Required profile

• Strong client‑facing skills, including active listening and clear communication.
• Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in services such as recruitment or advertising.
• Ability to negotiate contracts, handle objections, and manage multiple leads and meetings.
• Solid organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Comfort working towards sales targets and using basic reporting tools or CRM systems.
• Knowledge of the local Kampala market and willingness to conduct in‑person client visits.
• Basic understanding of recruitment and advertising concepts.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience.
