Lead Consultant – Cooperating Partnerships Management Team (CST1)

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a senior Lead Consultant for its Cooperating Partnerships Management Team (CST1) in Kampala. This contractor position provides a second‑line oversight function, ensuring transparent and accountable partner engagement across the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the CPMT team and coordinate with cooperating partners, area offices, finance, supply chain and compliance units.
• Oversee operational partnership processing and delegated approvals to strengthen fiduciary assurance.
• Ensure compliance with WFP policies, donor requirements and internal controls.
• Provide guidance on risk mitigation and transparency in partner contracts.
• Report directly to the Head of Programme on partnership performance and issues.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of relevant experience in programme management, partnership oversight or related fields.
• Senior‑level expertise with a strong understanding of humanitarian operations and donor compliance.
• Proven ability to lead a team and work collaboratively across multiple functions.
