About the role
Makerere University is seeking a Lecturer 2 to join its Department of Law and Jurisprudence in Kampala. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and community outreach, supporting the department’s academic excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, conduct examinations and grade student work.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
- Mentor junior academic staff and provide guidance.
- Engage in scholarly research and community outreach initiatives.
- Prepare grant proposals to secure funding for departmental activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Required profile
- PhD (or LLD) in Law with a specialization in Family Law.
- Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
- Honours Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
