About the role
The Department of Public and Comparative Law at Makerere University is seeking a dedicated Lecturer to join its faculty. This full‑time position involves teaching law courses, supervising student research, and contributing to the department’s academic and outreach activities.
Key responsibilities
- Teach, examine and grade undergraduate and postgraduate law students.
- Supervise and mentor student research projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior academic staff.
- Conduct research and engage in community outreach initiatives.
- Write proposals to attract external funding for departmental projects.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
Required profile
- PhD, LLD or JSD with a specialization in Contract Law or Constitutional Law.
- Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
- Honours Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
Required skills
