Manager – Wholesale Connectivity

About the role

The Manager – Wholesale Connectivity will provide strategic leadership for MTN Uganda’s wholesale and carrier services. The role involves developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives, driving revenue growth through innovative roaming and interconnect agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with international and national carriers, regulatory bodies, and interconnect partners such as Bayobab.
• Lead commercial negotiations for roaming and interconnect services, securing agreements that meet dynamic customer requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement long‑term carrier strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local (UCC) and international telecom regulations (GSMA, ITU).
• Oversee service quality monitoring for roaming and interconnection, managing dynamic customer needs.
• Manage invoicing and settlement processes across functions.
• Ensure technical integration and system interoperability (e.g., SS7, Diameter) between all parties.
• Forecast, plan, and review the unit’s budget to deliver return on investment.
• Lead cross‑functional projects related to carrier relations, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Statistics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
