Marketing Coordinator

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Marketing Coordinator in Kampala. This is a permanent, full-time position within the Sales & Marketing Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the annual marketing strategy, break it into quarterly and monthly plans, maintain an activity calendar and track progress with weekly updates to the Marketing Manager or Commercial Manager
• Plan and run marketing campaigns from brief to post-campaign analysis, including ROI, leads and engagement metrics
• Manage social media, content calendars, digital analytics, SEO support and paid advertising monitoring
• Keep brand guidelines and brand assets consistent, review marketing materials and coordinate branded collateral
• Plan and support participation in exhibitions, conferences and networking events, including budgets, vendors and post-event reports
• Carry out market research and competitive analysis

Required profile

• Minimum undergraduate degree; a master's in marketing and professional marketing certification are added advantages
• At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in marketing communications, digital marketing or a similar coordination role
• Proven experience managing marketing campaigns and events
• Knowledge of the freight industry

Required skills

• Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and analytics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
