Monitoring, Data and Reporting Specialist (Contract)

About the role

FuntoNetwork is seeking a Monitoring, Data and Reporting Specialist for the Toolkits Management Uganda project. The position is a contract/project‑based opportunity based in Uganda, reporting to the Director of Consulting Services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain beneficiary and toolkit data, indicators, evidence, reconciliations, dashboards, exceptions, and donor‑ready reports.
• Collect, validate, normalize, and document source data, assumptions, business rules, performance measures, and analysis methods.
• Perform analysis, modeling, estimates, scenarios, reconciliations, or requirements mapping and retain reproducible working papers.
• Review findings with stakeholders, resolve data exceptions, evaluate alternatives, and document recommendations and decisions.
• Publish approved datasets, models, dashboards, schedules, requirements packages, or reports with quality checks and acceptance evidence.
• Trace assigned work to RFP scope, requirement or RTM row, deliverable, dependency, acceptance criterion, schedule milestone, and supporting evidence.
• Review official solicitation materials and addenda; document assumptions, open items, exclusions, risks, and required client decisions.
• Prepare role‑specific technical inputs, work products, estimates, implementation details, quality records, and proposal or post‑award delivery evidence.
• Coordinate interfaces and handoffs with project management, business analysis, technical, field, quality, compliance, training, and operations workstreams.
• Maintain status, issue, decision, change, and evidence records and escalate blockers before they affect submission or delivery readiness.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience performing Monitoring, Data and Reporting Specialist responsibilities in public‑sector, regulated, enterprise, or comparable environments.
• Ability to produce complete, reviewable work products tied to requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Strong documentation, stakeholder coordination, risk awareness, confidentiality, and deadline discipline.
• Relevant licenses, certifications, clearances, insurance, or local delivery capacity when required by the solicitation.
