Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (HQ)

About the role

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will lead the data management and monitoring functions for the CFCT programme and other IDI Uganda initiatives. Based at the headquarters, the role ensures accurate data collection, validation, and reporting to support programme performance and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain monitoring and data‑management systems for the CFCT programme, including indicator trackers, beneficiary records and KPI dashboards.
• Consolidate and validate data submitted by field teams, resolve data‑quality issues and maintain a data‑query log.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual performance summaries, dashboards and donor reports.
• Support design, implementation and analysis of surveys, assessments and research studies, including tool development and field data collection.
• Conduct regular field verification visits and follow‑up actions to ensure traceability between reported results and source documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in programme monitoring, data management, research or evaluation within NGOs or development organisations.
• Demonstrated experience managing large data sets, indicator tracking and producing high‑quality reports.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project locations and respect IDI Uganda’s Christian faith‑based values.
